"This pump has an elasticized neophrene arch, in the molded shape of a star, which hugs the arch of the foot and moves with the dance. This elasticized section "breathes with the movements" and stretches and contracts to allow the arch to move without damaging the pump and gives the most streamlined shape when the toe is pointed. We have also changed the way these type of pumps are laced up - the heel is supported by the looped sides which prevents the pump slipping off the heel when dancing."
